Something I’ve noticed about myself part 2.

Something I’ve noticed about myself: I still can’t stand being bored. It is just the worst feeling, having to tell yourself at every intermission of the day, for days on end: “The unexpected will happen.”
It’s true. Sometimes the unexpected will happen, but waiting for it to happen is the folly of boredom. It is the most unexciting repetitive process there is and, yet somehow, also the epitome of restlessness. It is the one feeling you can never get accustomed you because the feeling it means you are desperate for change. It is like wishing for snowfall in summer. And every winter you spend looking out the window waiting for warmer weather. All just because you can’t enjoy the right things in the right season. Only the unexpected reigns in the Golden Age of expecting. If either summer or winter were perpetual, it would make no difference, it would always be the worst season, the worst feeling, a life of grieving, believing in the unexpected.
