Our necks grow crooked from looking down

I wonder how much time we lose,Â
looking for proof that the world is okay.
That we are okay, is a certainty which expires faster than our batteries. We are okay as long as our batteries last, our lives feel richer, more complete. Notwithstanding that we are not on stage, we are now the audience to our own existence.
The stage is full of disagreement, but what we can probably all agree on, is that times are moving fast. When barely a century ago, some French philosopher claimed that we are all condemned to be free. Today, we have found the loophole. We can surrender our freedom
one notification at a time and unburden ourselves from the weight of decisions, by unburdening ourselves from Reality by means of pseudo-utopianism, Distraction.
Reality demands something from us.
It asks us to witness.
To care.
To choose.
To act.
Distraction asks for nothing.
